I am setting up this for my husband Rob Richmond.  We have been together for 30 years now and he is my best friend, soul mate and the father to our 4 children.  For the last 15 years he has dedicated his life to helping others as a sheriff's deputy and I for the last 20 years have been a paramedic/firefighter.  In July, we left our home and family in Virginia to move to Floriday to work for Boys Town and raise 6 at-risk youth.  In the middle of October, Rob was hospitalized with severe Diverticulitis for which he had to have a small portion of his colon removed and ended up with a colostomy which was to be reversed on 12/8/15.  On Thanksgiving day, he ended up back in the hospital due to complications.  After he was discharged, we met with his surgeon who told us another small portion of his colon would need to be removed and we would now have to wait 6 more weeks for the reversal.  On Tuesday 12/8, Rob ended back in the hospital again due to more complications.  He has spend 2 1/2 of the last 6 weeks in the hospital.   We learned that his whole colon is diseased and will need to be removed.  They are hoping to be able to remove the colon and connect his intestine to the rectum so that he will no longer need the colostomy, but they will not know until they go in and start the surgery in January.  We have decided toleave our job and  move back to Virginia where we can be closer to our family, we have 4 beautiful and intelligent children, parents and amazing friends, so that we have more support.  The problem is....the medical bills are beginning to amount in the $100 of thousands, even though we have insurance.  I am not looking for assistance for the mounting medical bills, but just money to be able to move him back home.  I have never done anything like this ever before, we have spent majority of our adult lives taking care of others and for once I need help to just get him HOME.  We desperately don't want to feel like a "Charity Case", but with him out of work and the bills piling up, I am not sure what else to do....Any help would be so greatly appreciated......
