4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours

On March 5th I will be doing the 4/4/48 challenge where I will be running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours to raise money for a charity called sporting minds.

During the numerous lockdowns imposed by the government as a result of Covid, I have suffered with mental health issues and as a result have become aware of how serious an issue mental illness is in today’s world. Through bottling up my feelings, thoughts, anxieties I’ve learnt how quickly your own mental health can deteriorate and have realised how important it is to open up and speak about your mental health to those around you and trusted professionals.

Sporting minds is a charity that works to raise awareness of the systemic issues of mental illnesses within sports and aim to provide expert one on one support to athletes between the ages of 16 and 30. All money raised will be donated to sporting minds which will help them in their efforts to continually raise awareness of how important looking after ones mental health is, and to provide support to those suffering mental illnesses.
