On February 15th, Nadiya Wan Lappa was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma breast cancer. Thankfully it was caught early and after switching gears into full time cancer fighting mode, Nadiya was scheduled for a double mastectomy on April 12th.

At her post-op appointment, the doctors confirmed that the cancer has not spread into other areas of her body and the cancer was successfully removed! Thank God!

As the diagnosis came suddenly, and despite health insurance, this journey has proven very expensive. Since Nadiya is self-employed, she does not have any disability wage loss benefits.

Between the out of pocket maximum, trips to specialists in Orlando, FL (100 miles one way), and many things necessary that are not covered by insurance, I am hoping we can all come together and help this sweet, God serving woman out financially.

God has answered prayers and the cancer is gone. Now let's help Nadiya financially to be able to focus on recovery, get stronger and prepare for yet another surgery related to this in September and not have to worry about covering all these medical bills.
