Yvonne's Road to Recovery

My name is Lauren, my two brothers are Mike and Nick, and our dad's name is Ric. Yvonne is the absolute Queen of our worlds and we are fundraising to help her on her road to recovery.

Mom was feeling dizzy for a week's time and was told if it persists to visit emergency. After an emergency scan and MRI she was admitted to the Ottawa Civic Neurology unit to await surgery that would remove the tumour found on her brain.

The surgery went well, they removed it all, and she totally kicked butt. Pathology found that the cells of the tumour were aggressive and the next part of the journey will consist of Chemo and Radiation to ensure that the cancerous cells do not make a return.

To know our mom is to know what sunshine in human form is like. She is radiant, kind, hilarious, and just all around delightful. She displays this endlessly through her work, the love for her family, to her friends, and to any individual she comes across.

This journey does mean that she will be unable to work while she heals and recovers. The worry and stress of no pay cheque is something we would love to free her from and we hope that you can help.
