Eric and Sam Billington were visiting family in NY when Baby Rorik decided to spice up the trip! Sam was admitted to the hospital mere hours after landing in NY with a severe form of preeclampsia known as HELLP and Rorik was born via emergency c-section at 2:09pm on Friday, August 4th. Rorik was born at 27 weeks gestation (3 months early!) and only weighed 1 lb 14 oz - that's less than a kilogram! Rorik will be in the NICU for at least 2-3 months. Since Eric and Sam live in Hempstead, TX having Rorik in the NICU in Albany for an extended period of time will be very hard!
