Help us save Sid

Hi, my name is Hunter and I am raising money to help save our kitten Sid.

Sid joined our family at just 4 months as a surrender. From the moment he got home, he lit up the house with his curious, playful spirit and love of nap time. He was our first ever cat, and he was named after our favourite teams captain - Sidney Crosby.

But recently, Sid's health has taken a heartbreaking turn.

After just a couple months, Sid began losing his energetic personality. He stopped eating, became extremely lethargic, and spent most of the time hiding. We brought him to the vet, and while he briefly got better, things quickly got worse. For over a week now, Sid has barely eaten, struggled to move around, and has needed multiple vet visits, changing medications, and even overnight stays at the animal hospital just to keep him stable.

On top of that, Sid has had to undergo many rounds of diagnostic tests and exams to try and figure out what is going on. Each one has helped rule out some possibilities, but they have also added to the financial stress. We still don't have a firm diagnosis, and the vets are going to start him on a treatment plan on what they believe the cause may be.

It has been an emotional rollercoaster for our whole family. We are constantly worried, trying to give him his medication (which he finds really stressful), cleaning up after him, and working with the vet team to make sure he gets everything he needs. He's still only 8 months and has so much life left to live, and we are doing everything we can to give him a fighting chance.

We were hoping to never be in this position, but we are reaching out to support Sid so he can get the care he deserves and return to being the joyful, loving kitten we first met.
