Commie Book Translation and Writing!
Hello! We are Emerican Johnson and Luna Nguyen!
Luna is a Vietnamese Marxist-Leninist formally trained in the Ho Chi Minh school of thought and EJ is an anarcho-communist in the USA. Together we have been working together for about four years developing the leftist YouTube channels NonCompete and Luna Oi!
Recently, Luna has been translating exerpts from the official Vietnamese curriculum on Marxist theory for a series of videos on her channel. Our audience has expressed great interest in a full translation of this text, and so we have decided to embark upon this project.
This will be the first time in history that this text has been translated into English, and we believe they will be of great value to the leftist movement. In Vietnam, communist philosophy is considered a living, applied science, and this book draws from the works of Marx, Engels, Ho Chi Minh, and countless other leftists, condensing them into an easy-to-follow guide that trains students on how to think and act dialectically.
In addition to the translation of the full text of the first book of the Vietnamese curriculum, we will also be writing an original text in which we hope to synthesize our political philosophies and experience into a handbook that will help leftist activists and organizers to apply these and many other ideas to daily life.
We have been working side by side every day for years, now, and we have managed to develop a variety of philosophical and practical tools and systems to cut through many of the fractures, divisions, and other quandries which leftists often face when working together, and we hope that by writing this book we can help leftists improve organization, communication, and collaboration to further the ends of our movement.
So, by backing this project, you are backing the authorship of TWO BOOKS:
-A Translation of Book 1 of the Vietnamese Curriculum on Marxist Ideology, covering Dialectical and Historical Materialism
-An original work of Syncretic, Applied Political Ideology drawing from our years working together despite our ideological differences.
These books will be made available for free to download with a Creative Commons license. We also hope to publish printed versions of the book if there is enough demand, but the primary goal is to make the electronic version of the text available for free to comrades everywhere.
We expect this project to take about three months to complete and we will make exerpts available to backers as we go along!
Thank you very much for considering this project!
Stay safe, and solidarity!
