Hello! We're Julia and Ali, and in August of 2022 we were lucky enough to add Lily into our family. We adopted her from the Sato Project -- she was saved from "dead dog beach" in Puerto Rico, where she was found with her 7 puppies. She has changed our lives, and we love her so, so much. During her dental cleaning last month, our vet found a tumor in Lily's mouth. They biopsied the tumor, and she was diagnosed with Acanthomatous Ameloblastoma, a type of cancer in her jaw bone. We were devastated to hear this news. The "good" news, is that with surgery, this cancer can typically be cured, and leave Lily to continue living a long and happy life with us. The bad news, besides of course, the cancer, is the cost of her medical expenses. Her procedure is over $10,000 in the hope of her living a long, healthy, and cancer-free life. While we are grateful to have pet insurance, that is only just easing the burden of her care, and we are required to pay the full fee upfront. Any bit helps, and Lily thanks you tremendously.
