On September 16, 2024, our sweet Grace passed away and went to be with the Lord. Diagnosed with cancer at the age of four, she received many treatments over the years, but sadly, there was nothing more that could be done.
We kindly ask that you keep my brother David, his wife Vika, and their children, Abby and Oliver, in your thoughts and prayers.
If you wish to assist with funeral expenses, any contribution would be deeply appreciated.
Grace D. Babak, age 6, went to be with the Lord, surrounded by family on September 16, 2024.
Born on May 22, 2018, at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake, Washington, Grace was the beloved daughter of David and Victoria Babak. She was the second oldest in her family following her older sister, Abbi. Grace cherished being a sibling. She especially loved her role as a big sister to her younger brother, Oliver.
Diagnosed with cancer at just 4 years old, Grace remained a bright light despite her challenges. She embraced life fully, enjoying Sunday school, visits to her baba’s (grandmother's) house, and family trips to the cabin. Grace's adventurous spirit and love for family brought joy to everyone around her.
Grace is survived by her loving grandparents, Mike and Luda Levchenko, and Ivan and Nadia Babak. As well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, which includes Thomas and Lilia, Nick and Tania, Brandon and Irina, Vera and Brady, Luba, David and Marie, Anthony and Veta, Yuri and Diana, Ben and Lanie, John and Julie, Alex, Tony, Michael, Anna, and Alesya. Grace also leaves behind 17 cousins, with whom she loved to play with family gatherings.
Grace attended Restore City Church and was a joyful part of Kids Church on Sundays. She was eagerly looking forward to starting first grade at Columbia Ridge Elementary, though her declining health prevented her from doing so. While we miss her deeply, we find peace in knowing she is now healed and resting in the arms of Jesus.
