Please Help Save Our Best Friend

Kaeden has been my husband's and mine best friend for the past four years. We purchased Kaeden when Jake (my husband) was going through a hardship when his father was hospitalized with permanent brain injury and immobility in his body after a terrible motor cycle accident while simultaneously my late father was suffering battling cancer. Kaeden helped Jake and I by bringing some joy to our lives during such hard times. The simplicity of cuddling him, taking him for walks and watching him grow, brought a light to our lives that we needed during such darkness. We needed him more than he could ever know. Now the time has come where he desperately needs us. Since 2013 we have grown our husky pack by purchasing him a sister--Kenzie. These two are inseparable. One day in early March I had brought them to the local park to play together like any other regular morning. They chased each other, caught the balls and rough-housed over sticks. When I got home though I noticed that Kaeden was limping. I thought he must have played too hard and I'll let him rest but I thought I'll just keep a close eye on him. Well since then he has progressively gotten worse. I have brought him to see a neurological specialist and orthopaedic surgeon and been to 4 different vets to see what is the best health care plan for him. Cohesively, their diagnostic is that he has bi-lateral crucial rupture in his knees and lumbar spinal damage. He needs surgery at a cost of $10,000. We were trying to off-put this surgery until we could figure out some how, some way to pay for this surgery. We were able to keep him at bay with pain medication for the time being until today. He is no longer at a point even with medication to stand or walk, he cannot even go to the bathroom. We took him immediately to the vet hospital today where they said he no longer has quality of life. He needs to have the surgery or he needs to be euthanized. As we sit together right now choking back our tears, we write this plea begging our friends, family and animal lovers to help us. We love Kaeden with all our hearts and souls, he is our son and to lose him so soon would be devastating, not only to us but mostly to Kenzie. He is only 4 years old and has the potential of a bright future ahead with your financial contribution along with the help of the amazing veterinarians at OVC.
