Save Dexter and his Knees

Donation protected
With great humbleness I ask for your help. My rescue dog of 7 years, Dexter, has been diagnosed with crucial ligament tears in both of his knees. This requires an extensive and expensive surgery. Potentially, two surgeries. Without this surgery, his quality-of-life, which is already significantly diminished, would be as such that would be unfair to allow him to live in pain and paralysis. There are times when he can’t even stand up enough to go to the bathroom.  Dexter is currently taking two medications for pain and inflammation. Every day is a struggle for him to get up, eat,  and potty.

The surgery cost to fix both knees at once will cost $5863.  If we can raise enough to have both knees done at the same time, it saves approximately $600 versus doing two surgeries ($3200 each.  I am only able to cover a couple thousand of the cost, which is why the donation goal being lower than the total surgery cost.  The good news is that he does not need a titanium plate, common for this type of repair, and that saves us several thousand dollars.

For those reasons, I graciously ask for any donation or even sharing this page so that we may get Dexter the surgery he needs and extend his quality of life.
