My wife found out 3 and a half  years ago that she had stage 4 head and neck cancer.The Doctor told us all the side effects she could get from the chemo and radiation.And at that time gave her 3 to 6 months to live.But she's a fighter.She was suppose to have 30 chemo treatments and 3 radiation treatments.She started,The first chemo and radiation treatment made her so sick,she was admitted into the hospital.She continued the chemo,but was not healthy enough to do the radiation.The chemo was suppose to be everyday,except weekends.She made the chemo,but not everyday,she would have to skip a lot of time,just wasn't healthy enough.But she finally made the 30.She lost over 60 lbs,and was so sick, Doctor Pandy told us she had gotten every side effect,But she still fought.In a year and a halfshe was admitted into the hospital 32 times.After a few scans,the head and neck cancer was gone,but moved to her lower body,The did a biopsy on the limp node and it had cancer,they removed that plus her ovaries.The ovaries had no cancer,a good sign.After several more scans,they found the cancer had traveled to her left lung.More chemo was needed,Scans after scans,showed that the cancer in her lung hadn't changed,Hasn't grown,but didn't get any smaller either.
The Doctor said it was manageable.And she did seem to be getting somewht better.One morning she woke up with a bump on her shoulder,then a couple more bumps appeared,The took one off,and did another biopsy.And it is cancer,They said it is the same head and neck cancer,but now has traveled to her skin,She did a expermental drug for awhile ,but didn't work.She worked as a care giver,taking care of people in simular situations.Her last patients were 3 sisters,a 78 year old set of wins,and their older sister.The ladies didn't like the company my wife worked for,and wanted to fire them,But they wanted my wife to continue taking care of themSo they did,they fired the company,and talked my wife to take care of them,and they would pay her direct.She was so attached to these ladied,so she did just that.But of course lost her insurance,I'm a self employed paint contractor,so ofcourse,I have no benefits.She and I have been together 13 years,She is the love of my life,and has been nothing but great for me.Made me a better man.Now i have to make funeral arrangements for her,Never in my wildest dream that I thought i'd go coffen shooping with my wife,Are Plan a funeral with her,For her.Trying to get a plot next to her 2 brothers,that have pasted in the last 8 years.I have no Ideal what a funeral cost,People have told me about 10,000 dollars.Any help would be greatly appreciated,Never done anything like this before,and feel bad about asking.Cliff Tibbs will be incharge of the funding,and every cent will go to my wife's funeral.Thank you so much for reading and letting me get this out there.
