Stand with Stan

Hi everyone, my name is Jill, and I’ve had the privilege of calling Jenn my best friend since day one. I was lucky enough to be with her the night she met Stan — and from that moment on, the two of them have been inseparable.

Together, Jenn and Stan have built a beautiful life rooted in love, hard work, and family. Jenn is a dedicated Respiratory Therapist with Brightshores Health System, and Stan is the proud owner of Ziemba Exteriors. In 2022, they welcomed their first daughter, and in October 2024, they joyfully added a second sweet baby girl to their family.

But over the past few months, life has taken an unexpected turn. Stan has been in and out of the hospital with a series of health issues, and he has recently been diagnosed with Stage 2 Adenocarcinoma Colon Cancer.

Stan now faces a long and difficult road ahead. His treatment plan includes 4–6 months of chemotherapy, followed by 5 weeks of daily radiation in Toronto, and then surgery to remove the tumour (also in Toronto), which is currently affecting both his bowel and his bladder.

As you can imagine, the emotional and financial strain on their young family is immense. Jenn is currently on maternity leave caring for their two young daughters, and as a small business owner, Stan will be unable to work consistently throughout this journey. The last thing this incredible family should have to worry about right now is money.

This GoFundMe was created to help ease that burden — to allow Jenn and Stan to focus entirely on Stan’s healing and their daughters' well-being during this frightening time.
