Help a coach in need

Last week a member of our coaching staff, Marino Garcia, was in an accident. Marino was setting up fields for the Coronado Cup Holiday soccer tournament when he was struck by an E bike. The accident left Marino with a compound fracture of the humorous bone in his left arm. He has since had surgery to repair the bone and is now recovering. Marino is a valued member of our soccer family. He has touched so many lives in this program through either the countless hours he has spent on the field coaching teams, camps, and clinics or his work in setting up and breaking down all of our fields. As a club, whenever anyone needs something done, we have always been able to rely on Marino to help out.

Marino's main source of income is coaching in our club and then all of the work that he does in setting up fields for our club as well as many other clubs and tournaments throughout Southern California. As you can imagine, he will need some time to heal from his injuries and while we know he is already itching to get back out with his teams, he will not be able to earn income by setting up fields. For this reason, the club has set up this GoFundMe account for anyone who would like to donate money that will be given to Marino to help him get through these tough times. We would like to be able to give him any money raised by the end of the month so we will close off donations on 12/28/24.
