Hi everyone my name is Molly and I am a 1 year old German Shepard/Rottweiler cross. My mom and dad adopted me from the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter when i was 8 weeks old. I was their very first baby until my little brother Finn came along earlier this year and I even got to be the flower girl at their wedding this past December, so i am very special to them. I used to love going on long walks, playing in the yard with my best friends Atticus and Chloe and going to the dog park, but just before my first birthday my mom and dad started to notice that I was having a really hard time playing and I couldn't even run anymore so they decided to take me to the vet.
My regular vet couldn't say exactly what was wrong with me so I was put on pain killers and anti inflammatory medication to help with my pain until i was seen by a specialist. I have been diagnosed with FMCP or Fragmentation of the medial coronoid process which is a form of elbow dysplasia in both of my front legs. This means that the bones in my elbows have started to break up or degenerate making it very painful when i walk. I will need to have surgery in both of my front legs which will cost approximately $6000.00 as soon as possible before any more damage is done to my joints.
