Newest Update: Sean is in the ICU fighting for his life! It started when he tried to take our 4 year old little girl out of the state to evacuate from hurricane Irma. He made it to Atlanta and I met him here a few days later. He fell critically ill here. He has been in the ICU on life support and dialysis for 5 days. The transplant team was having a hard time listing him for transplant because of his heart condition. They found out that he has a hole in his heart. This makes transplant surgery extremely risky. They finally decided on 9/15/17 that risk is something we have to take. Sean has been listed for transplant and is at the top of the list due to his critical condition. We are praying that his second chance of life is coming soon! The doctors are giving him less than 2 weeks to live if he does not get the transplant. I am staying here by his side and we will do everything we can to save his life! Our 4 year old daughter is in Indiana with my parents and we are far from home here in Atlanta. Any help anyone can give us to keep me here withhim is SO appreciated!!!!!!!! Thank you all and God bless! We are so thankful to have such wonderful friends and family as a support group! Thank you sso much for taking the time to read our story!!!!!
August 2017: The time has come for Sean to have a liver transplant and get a new lease on life. It breaks my heart to see him going through so many emotions. He is very scared and we certainly appreciate all the love and prayers from all of our wonderful friends and family. At this time he is doing everything necessary to prepare for the big surgery. He was recently hosptialized twice from complications related to liver failure. A complication with his heart has been recently discovered and he will be seeing a Cardiologist on August 15th for additional tests for clearance. On August 1st he has to have oral surgery to remove some teeth that will pose a threat for infection post transplant. I will be updating everyone every step of the way throughout this process. Unfortunately, at this time Sean is no longer able to work. He is in the process of getting on disability to be able to help with the financial struggles we are facing. We appreciate any help we can get to lesson this financial stress we are under. Even if it is just prayers for our family we will be forever grateful! Thank you so much to everyone that is supportive to us on this journey! We love you all so much! We couldn't ask for better friends and family!
