Hello! Our names are Nikky and Jacob and we're raising money for our friend Sara who has to move from Sweden to the UK in November.
Sara is a games industry friend and was made redundant in November 2024. As you may know, the games industry has been particularly cruel these last couple years, and finding work has been difficult for everyone. Sara's been living in Sweden for almost five years, but without a Swedish employer she is unable to stay and has to come home to the UK.
She has a beautiful cat, Galette, and we'd all be heartbroken if she wasn't able to come home alongside Sara. Unfortunately, because of *gestures at the games industry* everything, Sara can't to afford to bring Galette home with her own funds.
We know it's a rough time for everyone but if you are able to help Sara and Galette stay together then we'd really be very grateful. We're looking for about £2500 GBP (to be converted to the equivalent in SEK).
As per the quotes I've received so far, this will cover:
Approx £1400
- Galette's flight CPH -> LHR
- an IATA approved travel crate
- Handling costs on ground at Copenhagen Airport
- Airfreight from Copenhagen to London
- Delivery from Malmo, Sweden to Copenhagen Airport
Approx £600
- Import charges and handling on ground at London Heathrow
Approx £400
- An EU Pet Passport and Rabies vaccination
Plus a small buffer in case any final amounts are higher than quoted.
