Oliver's Surgery Fund
Donation protected
Hello friends! As many of you know, back in June of this year, I rescued a tough little street cat named Oliver. Oliver was only about a month old when we found her, and had a lot of health problems from the mean New York streets, but then began to thrive! She grew from less than a pound to five pounds in two months and is basically the sweetest and most beautiful kitty.Unfortunately, yesterday afternoon and through the night she was vomiting pretty violently and stopped eating or drinking. I rushed Oliver to the vet, and then they transferred her to a hospital. After x-rays and ultrasounds, they found out she has an intestinal obstruction and needed emergency surgery.
Of course, I said yes, and then began to worry about the money. The vet at the hospital and I talked about the options, and she was ultimately able to tell me they would be able to perform the surgery for around $3,500 - $4,000, MUCH less than the original estimate.
According to the veterinarian, I'm getting off cheap (although I would pay any price for little Oliver,) but according to my bank account, there's no way I can deal with this.
As much as my pride is a little shy here, I've been encouraged to create one of these pages. Honestly, I'd be grateful even if I got ten cents out of this.
Oliver is a sweet little baby, and I would love to be able to pay for this surgery and not have to make an escape and change our names in order to avoid the bill. ALL of this money will go to his vet costs and recovery.
