Pixie Needs Surgery

If you've ever found yourself digging through racks of vintage clothes at Retrospect, slinging back shots at the Neurloux, or shooting darts at Symposium then you probably know and love Pixie Merrick.

Pixie has been struggling with multiple painful and debilitating health conditions and has a big surgery on the horizon that has been weighing heavy on her. She needs our help.

Pixie has been in considerable pain and has undergone several surgeries to regain mobility and reduce discomfort. She now needs to have an Ulnar Nerve Transposition/Exploration surgery, with an estimated cost between $15K-$30K before insurance. While we hope that insurance will cover most of the cost, there will still be out-of-pocket expenses for the surgery, lost wages, support needs, physical therapy, and other miscellaneous expenses. We're starting with a 15k goal to help buffer these costs.

Pixie's surgery is scheduled for Friday, the 14th. She will likely have only one paycheck before going without pay for a few weeks, as she’s only been able to save two weeks total of sick/vacation hours since her last surgery in August.

Pixie will also need help with household tasks such as laundry, dishes, walking the pups, and taking out the trash. The past few years have been isolating for all of us, and Pixie has not been able to socialize as much as she would like to due to her health issues.
