Hi, I’m Tysons human mum, Becky. Those of you who know me know I’m very proud and would never ask for anything, however, this is currently a last resort we feel as though we have had to go down this route.

We returned back from our honeymoon on Friday 17.10.25, and Tyson was his usual self, needy and like Velcro! Early hours Saturday morning Tyson started vomiting which carried on into Saturday day time, we eventually realised he was not himself and this wasn’t normal not to take fluid or food, any tiny amount he was taking he was throwing straight back up, at 8:45pm we took him to the emergency vets where we paid £650 for an emergency scan and blood tests, by this point Tyson was struggling to even stand, he was very uncomfortable and could see he was in genuine distress. The scan showed a foreign object in his stomach which was so big caused a reflection on the videos and images but they knew it wouldn’t pass naturally due to its size. Anyone who knows, emergency vets are expensive! But, due to the object being placed between his vital organs and intestines it soon became life threatening, he was given pain relief whilst we we were hit with a huge figure and had to find at least £4000 deposit before they would even consider prepping him for surgery. At midnight on a Saturday night there’s not many options… we had to pay a further fee of £200 to keep him there comfortable over night and try get through the night without losing him. Our vet bill is looking at around £7000 minimum, and that’s with no complications.

please note- he was insured, but has been cancelled by two companies due to his breed and hereditary conditions with joints they can face at a young age. The last one cancelled just before the honeymoon and this was the first job on our to do list when we arrived back in UK, unfortunately, this didn’t go to plan as we weren’t even home 24 hours before the events took place.
