It is with extreme sadness to announce that in the early hours on October 3, 2021, we lost my brother Jessie Ray Carter unexpectedly at the young age of 32.

 

To know him was to love him, he would give/sacrifice anything to help others. His smile and his sincere attention he gave you when you were talking to him are only a couple of the many reasons people were drawn to him.

Jessie was an amazing son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. So many people looked up to him - especially all of the little kids in the family as he was their “Uncle Jessie”.

This world and our hearts have a void of seismic proportions, we will never-ever be the same, but we are far better humans having had him in our lives. Jessie will forever live on in our hearts every minute of every single day.

 

We are all devastated by the loss of Jessie and we were not prepared for the high cost of funeral expenses. As he was so young, he did not have life insurance and the expenses have fallen on our mother. We want to give Jessie the memorial he deserves to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.

For this reason, we are reaching out to family and friends, as well as our community, asking for donations to help cover the cost of Jessie’s burial and funeral services. No donation is too small and if you are unable to contribute, your prayers are just as sufficient.
