46 Surgeries Later: Seeking Your Support
Donation protected
If you can help out, thank you in advance. If not, that's okay, just listen to my woes, please.
As most of you know, I've dealt with stomach issues since the second I came into this world. 7 diagnoses I can remember off the top of my head, but many more than that in my life. We're at 46 surgeries and counting. As most of you know, I never ask for help. Ever. Well, here I am. Medical supplies are expensive; yes, insurance covers most of them, but it takes about a week or two to get a simple piece of tape. I'm not one to openly talk about my medical issues, so please bear with me through this. Now, the history of this health decline:
November 20th - Weekly weigh-in, lost significant amounts of weight.
December 11th - Last day of work at previous job.
January 9th - Pyloric dilation procedure where my doctor of 22 years told my mother I needed a feeding tube.
January 13th - Got fired from said previous job due to my illness and needing surgery.
February 27th - Landed current job.
February 28th - Feeding tube placement.
March 3-5 - Hospital stay due to my body “forgetting” what food is, also known as refeeding syndrome.
March 8th - Hospital visit due to another round of refeeding syndrome.
I am currently on a low flow feeding of 6ml an hour over a 24-hour period and a strict liquid diet for the next 2 weeks.
