Judy's Journey :) ...continues... :)

If you're lucky enough to know, Judy Young, you are very lucky! :) She is an amazing woman, wife, momma, teacher, coach, friend, and an all-around a great human. Judy's Journey has taken her to many places, across the paths of many people, and down the road of many adventures. In September of 2023, a pancreatic cancer diagnosis sent her on the path to quite a different kind of adventure. News that no one wants to hear and an adventure that no one cares to have. From that moment to this, she has seen a quick acceleration of action from skilled medical professionals to fierce prayer warriors standing ready to address her health and extend her life.

Judy is a gifted and passionate educator and coach. She has not been able to teach or coach for many months. Judy is also an accomplished golfer. If you've ever had the privilege of playing with her or being coached by her, you know! In the words of Bobby Jones, “Golf is a game of inches. The most important are the six inches between your ears.” Throughout this journey, Judy has maintained a positive attitude while facing the harsh reality of what has been placed before her.

It's been a while since her initial diagnosis. Subsequent surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation and immunotherapy have all added to Judy's Journey as she continues to receive treatments on the road to better health. All the while, her journey is a testimony to the power of prayer and the grace of God. The medical team has even remarked about her process, the miraculous medical outcomes of her surgery, and feeling the cover of prayer and positive energy. :)

So many people have expressed a desire to help. Unless you're a doctor or an insurance provider, there is little any of us can do to make a difference in her medical situation. This GoFundMe is an opportunity to help them offset expenses associated with mounting medical bills and extended absence from work as is often the case for those receiving a life-pausing, brakes screeching diagnosis. Our prayers continue that God's hand will protect and provide for Judy and her family; that those who have lifted them up in prayer have the same good fortune and faith returned to them; and that Judy's Journey will be a testament and testimony to a community coming together to support a common friend and God's grace and mercy are an ever-present gift.
