Her petite and small frame housed a large spirit, with an infinite supply of compassion, empathy, and love. With her bubbly nature, warm demeanor and magnetic personality, Amanda made everyone feel that they were her closest friend.Amanda was an exemplary nurse who went above and beyond for her patients. She relentlessly advocated for them, putting her whole heart into her work and treating every patient as if they were her loved one. Her spunk, spirit of teamwork, and charming wit brightened the most challenging days on our unit. Amanda inspired us all to see beyond ourselves, and to give unconditionally. Amanda will live on in our hearts, as we aspire to reach her level of selflessness, dedication, and kindness.Amanda is survived by her husband, Angelo, and her beautiful 2-year-old daughter, Abigail. Amanda’s deep love for her family was evident to all who came in contact with her. She spoke affectionately about her husband, and her face would light up upon mentioning Abigail’s name. Her “Mount Sinai family” has seen countless, adorable photos and videos of Abigail. As a loving and dedicated mother who kept all of her coworkers abreast of Abigail’s milestones, we know that ensuring Abigail’s care and support would be Amanda’s greatest wish. It is for this reason that Amanda’s coworkers, colleagues, and friends have joined together to set up this fund. This fund will be used to support Abigail, as she continues to grow and reach her future milestones.
