Katie's recovery

Our sweet friend Katie had a serious accident on a motor scooter.  She had a head injury causing a bleed on her brain that required emergency surgery to remove it and relieve the pressure on her brain.  She was placed in the trauma ICU in critical condiiton.  She has since been taken off the ventilator and breathing on her own.  She has aslo woken up and is able to move everything.  However she is having some trouble with her speech and still has swelling on her brain.  She has an excellent medical team treating her and is making progress but it is still in the early stages and will be a long recovery for her.  
Katie Is a loving wife to her best friend Jacob and amazing mother to her 5 year old son Max.  She has an incredible spirit and has overcome many struggles in her life.  We know that she will overcome this as well.  But it will take her some time and lots of support and love to get there.  
We are asking for any help that you can provide to this sweet family as Katie will be out of work recovering for an unknown amount of time.  Anything that you can give is greatly apreciated.  Katie would do anything to help a friend or family member and we just want to do the same for her.  Katie brings such positivity and joy wherever she goes.  We just want to make sure that continues in her life.
