Help the Citizens of Jamaica Rebuild After Hurricane Melissa
My name is Seylone. I currently live in the USA; however, I was born in the country of Jamaica. My country, Jamaica, is in need of serious help. The funds from this GoFundMe will greatly help with rebuilding the country.
In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, the beautiful island of Jamaica has been left devastated. Homes have been torn apart, communities flooded, and families displaced overnight. What was once laughter, music, and togetherness has turned into heartbreak and uncertainty for thousands of Jamaicans who have lost nearly everything.
Many families are now without food, clean water, electricity, or shelter. Children are sleeping in damaged homes or community centers, while parents struggle to find the means to rebuild. Yet, despite the destruction, the spirit of the Jamaican people remains strong — filled with hope, resilience, and faith.
This fundraiser was created to bring immediate relief and long-term recovery to those who need it most. Every dollar raised will go toward:
• Supplying food, clean water, and essential items to affected families
• Providing temporary shelter and rebuilding materials for damaged homes
• Supporting children and the elderly who have been displaced
• Helping restore schools, churches, and community spaces
Our goal is to raise $50,000 USD to help rebuild lives and bring back the sense of security and hope that every Jamaican deserves.
We know times are tough for many, but even the smallest donation can make a world of difference. $1, $5, $10, or $20 could mean a meal, a blanket, or a roof for a family tonight.
Please join us in showing love and solidarity with the people of Jamaica. Together, we can help them rise again — stronger than ever.
Thank you for your generosity, compassion, and prayers.
