Support Daisy's Life-Saving Surgery

My name is Eve Anderson and I adopted Daisy during Covid 4.5 years ago. When I went to get her spayed, the vet noticed that she didn’t wake up as quickly from the anesthesia and said that she might have a liver shunt. This was verified by another specialist, and she was put on a hepatic diet with lactulose 2x per day. Fast forward to the hurricane in Asheville, N.C. 1 month ago…

Daisy was throwing up a lot! I brought her to a vet up in Highlands, N.C., where they then sent me to Atlanta to save her life from sepsis, which was from an ulcer that perforated in her duodenum with infectious gases escaping into her body. Surgery was a 50/50 chance of her surviving with a price tag of $17,000!

We did the surgery, and she has survived, but her liver shunt is what caused the ulcer, UTIs, etc., not to mention the possible re-occurrence of ulcers if she doesn’t get the surgery to put a coil around her shunt to assure her a full and happy life.

We cannot afford another $10,000 surgery!

Any amount you can donate would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
