This has been a difficult decision and with heavy hearts our family is placing this post.  This is our beautiful Ashley Richards, born on October 24, 1988.  Ashley has been a loving daughter, sister, mother, niece and friend to many.
On Wednesday (September 25th) in the early morning hours, Ashley was crossing a street near her home and was run down by a hit and run driver in Crestview, Florida and left for dead.  Ashley was found and airlifted to the nearest trauma hospital (Fort Walton Beach Medical Center) where she currently remains.
Ashley sustained critical injuries and is currently fighting for her life. She has many broken bones and has endured three surgeries thus far  with many more ahead of her.  In addition to her many broken bones, Ashley has sustained severe head trauma and internal injuries.  She remains unresponsive with an unknown prognosis for her recovery.   

Ashley has always had big dreams of becoming an accomplished singer and has previously studied music at North Florida State college.  She has followers from around the world due to her beautiful voice; and while using the popular app “Star Maker” under the name AshleyHeart, she appears to be a favorite to many.  Ashley is a very loving and talented single mother of a 13 year old son.  As with most single moms, she  struggles to get by and provide for her family.  As a result, Ashley was not able to afford insurance and therefore did not have any at the time of this tragedy.  

Without the known hit and run driver there is no auto insurance to fray any of the costs sure to be piling up.  There no doubt will be a lot of expenses for her medical treatments and recovery.  In addition to your prayers and any info you may have regarding the driver of the unknown vehicle, our family is asking that you consider donating to this GoFundMe account.  It has been set up by extended family members in the hopes of helping to ease the ongoing financial burdens of future medical and rehabilitation costs for Ashley.  In addition to the many medical  expenses that will occur,  Ashley will no doubt need future financial help with the care and protection of her son Sammy.  This  GoFundMe account is the only account that has been authorized by the family and we ask that you not donate to any other GoFundMe account in Ashley’s name.

Her mother, father, step-father, brother, son and entire family cannot thank you enough for your love, support and continued prayers as we move forward and hold firm in our faith that our Almighty God will grant a miraculous miracle in Ashley’s mind, body and soul.
