Hi Friends! This is Blaze and he needs us... below is a word from his sweet Mama Roxy to help explain just how special this horse is to so many people, including me...and what they've been going through and why your help is needed.
***********
It’s been extremely hard trying to figure out a way to type this I’ve been staring at my screen for the past 12 hours wondering how I could word this but I’m going to try my best - Blaze....this boy has helped me through some of my darkest difficult times . And quite honestly I don’t think I’d be here if it weren’t for ~The horse who saved me ~ Anyone who has met blaze understands how impossible it is not to fall for his charismatic sweet nature -which is why he has won over the hearts of many people - from babies to adults -he has brought so much joy to many even before I met him.
July 2019 Blaze was diagnosed with an awful stifle injury -it took 4 veterinarians and many painful $$vet bills to finally find an answer (thanks to Dr. Rachel and Dr. Sullivan)
An injury that many horse owners choose to euthanize over due to the HIGH expense and VERY long recovery period. I was confused and unable to think clearly wondering how the hell this could happen to him given he was soo well cared for -this was not the way our story was supposed to end and it wasn’t fair -I lost my mind at the thought of losing him but somehow pulled myself together for him -
I refused to euthanize. Instead, I began my research to help him -
My research extended to all parts of the US where I did find some answers and many horse owners who did have success saving their horses with these type of injuries and it gave us hope and faith that there was a chance to help him.
To many he’s just an animal , just a horse , but to me there are no words to describe how immensely special he is.
Blaze goes in Monday morning to start his stem cell process and surgery Wednesday where he will remain until he is cleared -
We are hopeful and praying that his surgery will be one of success and I’ll have my boy back for many more years ❤️
As difficult as this is - it’s time to ask for help.
Anything and everything helps, it honestly does. And every donation is so greatly appreciated and we will be forever grateful.
I will keep you updated through his process. Thank you for taking time to read Blaze's story.
Roxy
