My name is Michael Murray and I am looking to raise money to aid in my recovery process from major medical issues.

In July of 2021, I was admitted to the hospital with a severe MERSA infection in my shoulder. I was in the hospital for 18 days and was unable to work for almost 11 weeks. This resulted in the use of all sick and vacation time and depletion of savings.

Returning to work in early October, I was still not feeling at my best. Three weeks later, I was admitted back into the hospital for a much more serious condition. I had gone into congestive heart failure and my heart pumping function was down to approximately 5%. I spent the next four weeks in the hospital facing multiple tests and the possibility of a Heart Pump Implant (LVAD) or a heart transplant. Finally, in early November, I was able to return home to continue my recovery. I have begun a cardiac rehab program, but have yet been able to return to work.

Due to my extended absence from working, my health insurance has now gone into cobra status and is quite costly. In addition, several of my monthly bills have fallen behind due to the loss of income. I am optimistically hopeful that I am on the road to recovery and look forward to returning back to normal. At this point in time, I am attempting to raise money to help cover expenses and the cost of health insurance. I would appreciate anything that you may be able to help with.
