Let me take a minute to introduce you to my little friend. He is a super sweet, energetic 6 year old boy named Xavier "X" Wells. (( X MARKS THE SPOT ))
His story begins the last week of July in 2020, when his parents noticed some minor changes in his mental health and physical behavior(seizures). They had taken X to his primary care doctor to have him checked out. Two days later, X suffered from 7 seizures within an hour. So, mom rushed him to Baystate in which he was referred to pediatric neurology. The following week, X had his first 'EEG' (electroencephalography). Following up with an additional 'EEG' and 'MRI'. It was after those results that X's family received that he had a tumor (Meningioma). At that point, X was immediately rushed to Connecticut Children's Medical Center. On Sept 3rd, 2020 he had surgery on his brain to have this tumor removed.
The Wells family has gone through so much unexpected stress and a lot of change in such a short amount of time. At this time, they solely rely on one income, because X's mom had to leave her full time job to be at her sons side 24/7 making sure all his medical needs are attended to. I'm hoping we can help them during these uncertain times with copay's, insurance payments, travel expenses, motels, meals and continued testing, etc. etc. etc. Its still a long road ahead for this courageous little boy!
Any donation would be greatly appreciated from the bottom of my heart and the Wells Family as well. Lets help take some of the financial stress off of their shoulders, so they can focus on X's recovery!
