Fight with Mason

Jared and Jennifer Shafer are parents of my sweet nephew, Mason. During the week of July 26th, Mason spent the week at Egelston undergoing numerous tests and eventually receiving the news that no parent should ever have to hear. He was diagnosed with stage III Hepatoblastoma (a rare form of liver cancer) with roughly 50 cases diagnosed yearly in the United States. Mason is currently receiving chemotherapy biweekly. They will monitor tumor growth until liver resection surgery can safely be performed. After surgery he will need more chemotherapy and then surveillance for disease return. 

Many have asked how they could help. My ultimate goal is to raise money for this family to help with the unexpected financial obstacles that they will be facing in the weeks, months, and years ahead because no insurance covers all the costs incurred with these kinds of treatment

My sister took a leave from her job as an RN to care for Mason.
