Dave needs your help

Dave is a legend. He helps other people out all the time. In the last couple of years alone he’s raised money for Forever Manchester, the British Heart Foundation, Prostate Cancer UK Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children and to get a memorial bench for a friend who’s baby died at 28 days.

Recently, he has fallen on hard times himself. Due to damp and mould in his rented flat, he’s been hospitalised twice. He’s now paying to sofa-surf, while still having to pay rent on the mouldy flat. This also means that his 11 year old son is stuck with his mum and her partner and can only stay with his dad when Dave has enough money to pay for a basic hotel room.

Dave is now stuck in a vicious circle where he can’t save any money for a deposit or rent on a new flat and his current landlord is being very slow in agreeing what needs to be fixed.

Dave is a man who has always been proud to serve others, not least during his 8 years in the army and more recently as a bus driver for Stagecoach Manchester.

Because he always puts other people first, he’d never dream of asking for help himself, which is why we’ve started this GoFundMe page on his behalf.

If we can raise £3,000, Dave will have enough money for a deposit, rent and clear a few arrears. The most important thing for Dave is that this will mean he can help his son more too.

The world would be a better place if there were more Daves, so please help us get this single father and proud veteran back on his feet.
