Bringing John Thomas home

Hello my name is Samantha I am the grand-daughter of the late John Thomas he was my Grandfather or better known as Pop pop who just recently passed away suddenly on March 20 2024 he suffered from alot of health issues including COPD and several heart attacks which caused him to have many stents put in his body including his throat because of the cancer. Ultimately he lost his battle to stage 4 lung and liver cancer. he leaves behind my Grandmom of over 35 years together who is heartbroken and has been taking this very hard, as we all are. See my grandfather was a very personal guy he never talked to anyone about his finances with his passing we just discovered he stopped paying his life insurance policy a few years ago due to the cost of living and them barely being able to survive financially now my grandma and all his kids John,Lisa,Michael and Tina are trying to raise up money in order to get him cremated and get his ashes back but we all are also struggling to survive too. This was created with the hope that sufficient funds can be collected to pay for his cremation. My grandma cry’s all day worrying about how she is going to get this money up so she can get his ashes home all of us are trying to help come up with the money. My grandfather does not qualify for any type of assistance he applied for it while in the hospital right before he died. The state claims they make too much money which is ridiculous they barely get by, so I’m making this Go-fund me page in hopes of maybe raising some money to help her out with this nightmare that became reality, it was a horrible blow to our family he was the best pop pop and father you could have he would give the shirt off his back for anyone always willing to help out even a stranger on the side of the road and now he needs our help to bring him back home to his wife and his fur baby husky chance who he adored.
