Our 10 year old cat, Winter, jumped off our 5th story balcony onto concrete. She is never allowed on the balcony and it happened in a matter of seconds. We are absolutely devastated as she is my soul pet in every single way and has been through so many major milestones with me. She has literally saved my life from depression and the most difficult times of my life. I don’t know how to function without her. We rushed her to the emergency vet but are burdened with the rising costs of her medical care and have already spent thousands but want to do everything we can to save her. Her vet bills have wiped my savings of the last two years and are tugging on my boyfriend but she still needs surgery and I am at a loss for what to do.
