Prayers for Pat

Donation protected

As many of you know, in October of 2018, Pat was diagnosed with Colon Cancer.

For the good part of a year, he fought the battle and through chemo, neuropathy, lost wages, heartache and prayer- he won the war and was declared “cancer-free” summer of 2019!

But here we are, June 2020 and he’s admitted and recovering from brain surgery as we wait to see if the surgeon’s suspicions of an “aggressive tumor” are correct.

As if COVID and his wife being laid-off wasn’t enough, Pat started experiencing headaches beginning of June.

Sunday, June 21st Jessie “could see the pain in his eyes” and insisted that she bring him to the ER. They performed an MRI and found a 6cm tumor on his brain. He was rushed to the U of M.

Today, June 25th, was the day they removed the tumor from his brain.

The surgeon stated to Jessie that this is “unrelated to his colon cancer, but that the pathology sample did clarify abnormal tissue and he believes this to be an aggressive tumor”.

God willing, he is INCORRECT!

We will know more in approximately 5 days, when the pathology results come back.

Pat is married to his wife, Jessie and has three children: Marissa (11), Landon (9) and Griffin (6).

Jessie is not allowed at the hospital (COVID) and has taken off work to process all of this and care for her three children while Pat is hospitalized.

The Heppner’s thank every one of you for your prayers and continued love and support and have stated multiple times that they couldn’t possibly get through this without the love and support from their friends and family.

We know God is in control and together, we will help the Heppner’s get through this, one day at a time.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your understanding. In all
your ways acknowledge Him and He will
make straight your path.” Proverbs 3:5-6
