The Gamecock Rowing Club Story:

This newly-established rowing club has survived for years because of just a few extremely passionate, disciplined, persevering students; there has been no funding provided for them from the university who they represent when they race, no coach to guide them into becoming champions, and no equipment they could call their own.

Recently, by many extreme strokes of luck (and some outstanding supporters of these students) there is now a volunteer head coach with 40+ years of experience including bringing a handful of athletes into the Olympic arena; some donated utilitarian boats, oars, and other equipment which these students can call their own; and a boom of growth in the number of athletes dedicated to this sport at the University of South Carolina.

With all of these new students interested in mastering this skill which requires ultimate teamwork, accountability, discipline, time management and so many more life skills, this team needs all the support it can possibly get in order to continue laying the foundation for a team of champions, a team with a cemented legacy of strength and resilience.
