Hi! Asher is a 4-year-old beagle who was a victim of animal testing before being rescued by Beagle Freedom Project and adopted by a loving family. He has spent the last two years learning how to be a dog and learning what love is. Six weeks after he was rescued and adopted in June of 2020, he tore his CCL in his left back leg and had to undergo surgery to repair it. He recovered well, and has been doing great until recently, when he has now suffered the same injury in his right back leg. The injuries were caused by the repeated abuse he suffered in the lab when he was most likely strapped into an unnatural position in a contraption for long periods of time so they could test on him. The surgery is costly, and his family can't cover it without help. The amazing animal loving and beagle communities all over the world helped us last time. We are humbled to have to ask for your help again, but we just can't do it alone. We love Asher so much, and he deserves to live a long and healthy life after what he endured prior to his rescue. Last time we proved that every donation, no matter how small, adds up. We are grateful for any help you can provide. We live our lives in a way that we try to help anyone, and everyone, we can.
