Isabella immigrated to the US from China when she was six years old. Until then, she lived in an orphanage where she was beaten and given inadequate food. When she was 11, she experienced what is commonly called the "Cascade of Diagnoses." That's when genetic issues that were already present start having a significant impact on one's life. She was then diagnosed with scoliosis, arthrogryposis, and osteogenesis imperfecta, and was transitioned from walking with canes and braces to a wheelchair. As part of her therapy and to increase her confidence and English-speaking abilities, it was suggested that she try pageants. She fell instantly and passionately in love. It also introduced her to community service. Since then, she has won 14 titles and has volunteered with organizations such as The Dream Factory, March of Dimes, and ALS Walk for a Cure. Currently, she is volunteering with Waterstep, is the Social Media Vice President for The Norton Children's Hospital Teen Board, and is the Teen Advocate for Safe Haven Baby Boxes, where she was instrumental in getting Safe Haven laws passed in the state of Kentucky. When not volunteering or in school, her other passion is Boy Scouts, where she is on track to be her Troops first scout in a wheelchair to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.

Recently, Isabella won the opportunity to participate in the national Miss Earth pageant. It is a wonderful opportunity because not only does it include onstage question and interviews to help her continue to work on her communication skills but also because there are opportunities within the pageant's charity, Beauties for a Cause, to go on environmentally based service trips and events.

We need 5000 to cover entry fees, wardrobe, and travel costs. Any extra would be donated in Isabella's name to Beauties for a Cause. This helps in two ways,. One, it funds such trips. Two, each dollar counts as a vote for Isabella as People's Choice winner, which ensures her a place in the top five and gives her her best chance at letting her shine and possibly winning the title.
