William's financial support

Donation protected
William James Zinger joined us on September 16, 2015 at 6:29pm, weighing 7lb 15oz. Mom (Jamie) and Dad (David) were elated to welcome their first child, and first grandchild on both sides. The happy reception of baby Will was met with fear and emergency – shortly after birth, William started to have frequent and unrelenting seizures. He was rushed from Red Deer to Edmonton, where he resides in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). Through a battery of tests, William continues to elude physicians, who are unable to find the underlying cause of his symptoms. Despite our hopefulness, there is a very real possibility that William will require assisted living, assuming he will be discharged from intensive care at all.

The uncertainty of William’s condition has put a great deal of emotional and financial stress on the Zinger family. They’ve done the best they can in this difficult situation, making the NICU their home and loving, nurturing, wishing and praying William back to health.

We want to help David, Jamie, and William. Although we can’t fix their heartache, hopefully we can alleviate some of the financial stress that they’re enduring. We would appreciate any monetary backing for this very deserving family. Anything beyond necessity will be donated to The Stollery Children’s Hospital and/or the Ronald McDonald House on William’s behalf, to help those in similar situations.

Thank you for the outpouring of love, support and kindness in these trying times. It has been truly amazing and we are so very grateful.
