Hey guys. My sister needs some help. It's been a tough year and this past Sunday she was rushed to the ER after days of confusion, high heart rates and fever and dropping O2 sats, she was admitted to ICU. Lemierres syndrome was confirmed. It is a very rare disease and thankfully for the time we live in it is now very treatable. With strong doses of antibiotics she is finally stabilizing. However, she will be in ICU for a few more days and the hospital for at least another week. Once she gets out she will take approximately another month to fully recover. Unfortunately, she will not be able to work during that time and even more unfortunately she has not been able to get health insurance due to the new regulations and income limits. This is going to a very difficult time for her and if we can band together to alleviate this financial burden I know that would be not only a huge relief for her but a major blessing. Thank you all.
