update 8/09/2023
One week has past since he had his last treatment- it has been extremely rough, He has went down hill since the last treatment. He will not drink his liquids because of the pain . We saw the chemo dr & his radiation nurse today, his bone marrow platelets and red blood cell have came up back to normal- the white blood cells are low (which is lack of nutrition) The inside of this mouth looked well just a couple of ulcers on the top of his mouth and one small one on the side of this tongue . So they where pleased with that- we do his mouth rinse regularly. They where happy with how his neck was healing as well. The main battle is the pain and getting under control . Half the battle is him taking his meds even when I ask. So that is a work in progress- the Radiation nurse gave him some tough love today. We will go back a see Dr Barker office one week from today and the chemo dr in 2 weeks to recheck everything . They all said by the time the next see him he should be turning the corner. So please pray for the pain subside and get nutrition down .
Thank you for the continued support through this journey! We are so grateful for each of you
Lots of love
We saw the Oncologist today and this what we have a head of us…
We are looking at 12 weeks off work so we are praying and cutting costs, down sizing, and believing we will financially make it through this journey of healing and recovery.
