It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news of the passing of Wayne Jackson—a man who was not only well known but deeply loved by so many.

Wayne was the kind of person who left a lasting impression. He had a fantastic sense of humour, a warm and forgiving heart, and the rare ability to make others feel seen, heard and valued. His gentle nature and kind soul touched the lives of everyone lucky enough to know him.

He was a devoted father who loved his children beyond words. Even through his own struggles, his love for them never wavered. He carried many regrets, especially about time lost, but his care and affection were constant. To those closest to him, he was “the best dad ever.”

Despite being surrounded by people who cared, Wayne faced a long and difficult battle with his mental health. Many tried to help, and some stood by him through the darkest of times, offering their support, their patience, and their love. But the pain he carried ran deep, and sadly, it became more than he could manage.

Wayne sought temporary escape through drink and drugs—a heartbreaking cycle that brought brief relief but deepened the struggle over time. Still, he kept going, kept trying, and continued to be a source of love and laughter to those around him.

He was never alone in the eyes of others, but he often felt that way. And now, with his passing, so many are left feeling broken, wishing they could have done more, and grieving a man who meant so much to so many.

Wayne was a beloved son, a proud father, a cherished brother, cousin, and uncle. He had a special place in this world and in the hearts of those around him. His absence is felt deeply, and his memory will be held tightly by all who loved him.
