Diehl Normand VS. Testicular Cancer

This past September, Diehl saw a doctor for swelling and pain in his testicle.  It wasn’t until January that his doctor became concerned and sent him for further testing which revealed the unimaginable.  Nobody, let alone a 20-year-old young man, is prepared to hear the words: Cancer… Testicular…  Lungs…  Lymph nodes…  Surgery…  Chemotherapy…  Stage 3.

Much of what lies ahead for Diehl’s treatment is unknown and we have no idea how long he will be fighting this battle.  Diehl recently completed his class 4 Power Engineering certificate and was excited to begin his new career, which will now be put on hold while he recieves chemotherapy.  The unforseeen expenses that will accompany his treatment could not be anticipated and the costs associated as he travels from Meadow Lake to Saskatoon will be extensive.  Any funds raised will go towards Diehl’s living expenses while he recovers, travel costs, medications, accommodations, parking, insurance, and so on.

Diehl is known for his energetic, compassion, and generous heart as well as his natural athletic ability, excelling in hockey, volleyball, and golf.  It is heartbreaking to see such a vibrant team player facing this incredible struggle.  Knowing there is little we can do to relieve Diehl’s and his family, physical and emotional pain, any support that can be given to provide some financial relief would be greatly appreciated.  Let’s join Diehl’s team and rally around his family to show them how much they are loved and cared for.
