I had to move out and I moved out october 31 and he’s still trying to charge me when he had already kicked us out there’s been a leak in the apartment and he has barely fixed it and is trying to charge me but I don’t even live there anymore and another person has moved into the place and due to his negligence we weren’t able to sleep on the bedroom because it had just leaked days before we moved and I told him and he never responded now the new tenants are trying to let him know and he doesn’t want to go and help them and is charging me for someone to come and check it out
im in the process of suing him but the fees are so much in order for me to go through with the law suit Ive tried everything and it just came down to this I apologize for even bothering and asking but I’m just grateful with even just a share

Hi everyone, my name is Michelle, and I’m reaching out for help during one of the hardest moments I’ve had as a renter.

I’ve lived in my apartment in Beaumont, California since March 2025, and from the very beginning, my AC and heater haven’t worked properly. I’ve made multiple repair requests, emailed management, and even had someone come look at it — but the problem has never been fixed. The unit freezes, cracks, and barely blows air, leaving my home uncomfortable in both the heat and cold.

On top of that, the property itself isn’t maintained — the trash areas are neglected, the gardening is never done, and there’s visible damage to my walls that has gone unfixed. My lease clearly says the landlord is responsible for maintenance and upkeep, but nothing ever changes.

Now, instead of fixing these issues, my landlord has started an eviction process because I couldn’t pay rent for October. I’ve always paid my rent, even when late, but this month my work hours were cut. I’ve since gotten a second job and can afford rent moving forward — I just need legal help to stand up for my rights and stop this unfair eviction.

I’m asking for help covering legal fees and filing costs so I can get a tenant rights lawyer to represent me and make sure my home is finally made livable. Every dollar helps me get closer to justice and stability.

I truly appreciate any support — whether it’s a donation, a share, or kind words of encouragement. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my story and standing with me.

❤️ Michelle
