Danny Hayes and his boys, Mark and Mitch

We lost Danny today. I'm honestly drawing a blank on how to explain how amazing this man was. Danny was a such a caring man who did everything he could for the special needs community, including serving as the Gwinnett Special Forces Coordinator. He put his whole heart into making sure the state games were moments to remember for everyone. He loved all of his team members, and encouraged them to find the best of themselves through Special Olympics. He didn't have to do any of this but he did it anyway. Why? Because he had a lot of love that he gave away freely and wholeheartedly. Everyone who met him could feel it, and loved him for it.

Our hearts hurt for the loss of Danny, but our hearts hurt more for those he left behind, especially his beloved sons Mark and Mitch. Mark and Mitch need you now.
