On January 17th, while celebrating her 18th birthday, my daughter had an accident and severely damaged her dominant right hand. Thank God she was immediately transferred from Queen of the Valley to UC Davis Medical Center for emergency surgery. Since then, we continue to be here in the Trauma Nursing Unit awaiting a transfer for her next surgery. Monique has and will continue to encounter unspeakable challenges like numerous costly reconstructive surgeries and possible prosthetics. I am devastated. As you all know, this is my baby! I would do anything to switch places with her. Regardless, I cannot thank God enough for keeping my daughter ALIVE. Despite everything, Monique is in good spirits and prays every day for the strength to get through this. It is not easy for me to ask for help but this is not for me. This is for her. Any prayers and financial help for medical bills during the most difficult times in our lives is greatly APPRECIATED.
