Support the Johnsons' Flood Recovery
Donation protected
On April 4th, 2025, our dear friends James Johnson, an active duty Soldier and his wife Kailee Johnson were forced to evacuate their home due to severe and fast-rising floodwaters. The situation became so dangerous that they could no longer leave by car and had to be rescued by firefighters on boat with their three dogs and thier cat. They were only able to grab a few belongings before fleeing, leaving behind their home, cars, and sense of security.
Since then, they have not been able to return. The water reached just beneath the floorboards, fully flooding their garage and crawlspace. Their AC unit and ductwork were completely submerged, rendering the house unsafe to live in. Both of their vehicles remain trapped in the floodwaters.
To make matters worse, their insurance has denied coverage for most of the damages, leaving James and Kailee in a heartbreaking financial crisis with no clear path forward.
This was a historic flooding event, one that no family could have prepared for. James and Kailee now face the daunting task of starting over, and they need our help.
If you’re able, please consider donating to support them through this incredibly difficult time. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference. Let’s come together and show them they’re not alone.
