My name is Cynthia Bray. I am the Director of J’Miah’s Place, a Vocational Learning Center for adults with disabilities, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and a Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS) Waiver Program. J’Miah’s Place started with a prayer and eventually, God called me to represent this underserved community.

Our story began with the birth of our first child, Jeremiah, who is autistic. My husband, Wesley, and I desired to teach Jeremiah how to learn skills that he didn’t possess, and we didn’t know how to teach. We both worked full time and we searched for years to find resources in the community to help us to teach our child even the basic life skills, but there just wasn’t any place where Jeremiah could go to learn in Round Rock, TX.

So, on that day when God called me and my husband to open J’Miah’s Place, we soon learned that all things are truly possible with God, and knowing that all things are possible with Him, and with His plan in mind, we opened J’Miah’s Place in June 2019.

Our students are taught in focused areas of training which includes independent living, life skills, and social skills training. The community that serves our special needs’ society lack the resources to meet the needs of these vulnerable people with special needs. J’Miah’s Place aims to solve the issue by providing the resources to train people to be able to be productive members of society. While we are actively offering the abovementioned resources, we also need your critical support to help make our efforts go even further.

Your donation will go towards helping us to teach our students to learn to live independent lifestyles and towards upgrading our resources to successfully address each student’s individual learning needs.
