#HaleyStrong - 27 & Facing Breast Cancer Head On

Haley’s story… began in January 2023 when she found a lump in her breast. Within 2 months she was diagnosed with breast cancer and received a double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery on April 12, 2023. Haley has Stage 1 Ductal Carcinoma (DCIS) and a small invasive tumor outside of the duct. She is HER2+ ER- (and tested negative for the BRCA gene). Most importantly Haley is a SURVIVOR!

WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW… Haley is recovering from 3 surgeries (mastectomy/reconstruction, port placement & IVF) and working remotely in between appointments and preparation for upcoming treatments. Haley spent a couple of days at the hospital this week to receive a blood transfusion and is back home resting. We know those prayers are working! The journey has already been exhausting, but everyone who knows Haley, knows that she is incredibly strong, and she is handling each day, one at a time.

WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS… Haley will undergo weekly chemo treatments for 12 weeks starting in the early part of June 2023. This will be followed by 1 year of immunotherapy.

HOW CAN YOU HELP… As out-of-pocket expenses continue to rise, we have created this fundraiser to help minimize this burden.
